Santa
García

Santa García (she/her) is Robi, a trans Peruvian artist who is redefining independent music through the testimony of her life. Her music—blending rock, folk, and electronic production—creates spaces where tenderness becomes a form of resistance. Her work isn’t just about creating new sounds, but also about imagining new ways of inhabiting art: freer, more sensitive, more personal.
She debuted in 2017 with Nueva Ola, an EP that stood out for its melodic and lyrical sensitivity. Her second album, El Mundo es Fabuloso, dives deeper into her sonic world with more complex textures and lyrics that reveal and reframe her lived experience.
She has performed in cities such as Lima, Buenos Aires, Concepción, and Valparaíso; in festivals like Viaje Al Sur, and in venues including La Noche, Casa de Salud, El Emergente, El Quetzal, Fundación Telefónica Lima, and C.C. España in Lima.
She currently lives in Boston, where she is pursuing a dual major in Electronic Production & Design and Music Production & Engineering at Berklee College of Music. Her work explores themes of identity, memory, and freedom, building a body of music that is as intimate as it is political.

My first album.
The result of a long self-produced process that took about a year.
Characterized by its simplicity, direct lyrics, and a tender, vulnerable voice.
It explores my childhood, melancholy, and a longing to discover something more—without exactly knowing where to go.
The cover art was photographed by the wonderful Paula Virreira, taken at my grandmother’s house in Pueblo Libre, where I grew up and lived for the first 15 years of my life.

My little manifesto.
Recorded in Buenos Aires, where I lived for six years and began to navigate my trans identity in the midst of deep uncertainty.
It was born through a mix of in-person sessions and remote production, in the middle of the pandemic, as an attempt to tell my story in nine chapters and expand my sound beyond the limits I had set in Nueva Ola.
The world is fabulous,
like the love I have for you
and the time I spend
singing to the birds.
